A preliminary framework for project development

Africa Hybrid Power DRC SARL, the dedicated project vehicle for AIDG's flagship energy platform, and a project consortium led by Latvian energy engineering company SIA TESLA signed a Project Development Memorandum of Understanding on 31 July 2026.

The MoU creates a preliminary framework to evaluate, structure and, if separately approved, develop the proposed multi-technology energy project in Haut-Katanga and Lualaba. The concept remains subject to feasibility, environmental and social assessment, permitting, offtake, financing and technical due diligence.

International capability, subject to due diligence

Under the preliminary framework, SIA TESLA is the lead consortium member for renewable-energy engineering and design coordination, EPC-management inputs, and financing-pathway discussions where separately agreed in writing. Africa Hybrid Power DRC SARL serves as the local project company and DRC strategic partner. SIA TESLA is the Latvian energy engineering company at tesla.lv and should not be confused with Tesla, Inc., the US electric-vehicle and energy company.

The MoU does not itself constitute a technical, commercial, financing or investment commitment. Any binding development scope, funding, investment or EPC appointment requires a separate signed agreement. Detailed terms and the signed document remain confidential.
